Automation Service has recertified to the ISO 9001:2015 management standard. ISO is an independent, non-governmental, international organization with 163 national standard body members. ISO has published more than 21,000 international standards and related documents, covering almost every industry. These standards give specifications for products, services, and systems, ensuring quality, safety and efficiency.
The ISO 9001:2015 standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, motivation of senior management, process approach, and continual improvement. The goal is to ensure that customers get consistent, quality products and services. ISO 9001 is the most widely used international standard and is the global benchmark for improving quality.
Automation Service was previously certified to the ISO 9001:2008 standard. Companies have until 2018 to recertify to ISO 9001:2015. To demonstrate our commitment to quality, we chose to recertify a year early. With the ISO 9001 certification, our customers experience improved quality and service, on-time delivery, and fewer warranty issues.
The updated 2015 version of the standard provides several benefits to certified business, including:
- Greater emphasis on engaging leadership
- More structured approach to organizational risks and opportunities
- Effective supply chain management
“I would like to thank our team members for their continued dedication to quality and a safe work environment, and for their efforts during the ISO 9001:2015 recertification process,” said Stan Carr, President of Automation Service. “Being ISO 9001:2015 certified assures our customers that the products and service we offer are reliable and are consistently of good quality. Additionally, ISO certification is a key tool we use to improve our efficiency and streamline our processes.”
