As President, Mr. Carr leads the charge for Automation Service’s Customer Centric initiative. With over 20 years of experience in sales, and applying his strong expertise in process controls, Mr. Carr is committed to ensuring our Production and Sales groups have a continued focus on quality, responsiveness and on-time delivery. Prior to joining Automation Service in 1994, he spent time in accounting, finance and sales fields before moving into management roles, where he oversaw sales, marketing, P&L, and HR functions. Mr. Carr graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Clarion University of PA.
Vice President of Sales and Engineering
Mr. Pedersen joined Automation Service in 2015 as Vice President with responsibility for Automation Service’s sales and marketing functions. With over 30 years of experience in a variety of sales, marketing, engineering, and operations roles in both consumer and industrial product businesses, Mr. Pedersen is well prepared to help Automation Service provide its customers the right solution at the right time. Mr. Pedersen received his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and his Bachelor’s degree in General Engineering from the University of Illinois.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Lipsmire joined Automation Service in 2014 as Chief Financial Officer with responsibilities for all financial and IT functions. With over 20 years of experience in financial leadership in manufacturing environments, he plays a key role in Automation Service’s budgets, forecasting, and decision support analysis. Mr. Lipsmire is a Certified Management Accountant and completed his MBA at George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology at Webster University and his BSBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
Vice President of Business Development
As Vice President of Business Development, Mr. Ursery leads the way in researching and adding additional remanufactured and new products to our catalog, such as the Remanufactured Rosemount® 8800 Vortex Flowmeter and the AMETEK® – U.S. Gauge new OEM product line. His 20+ years of experience in the process control industry have given him a deep and vital understanding of our company and customer needs. Mr. Ursery is a veteran of the US Air Force and attended Belmont University.
Director of Engineering
Mr. Butz joined Automation Service in 2010. After spending 16 years at DuPont, Mr. Butz brings a multi-crafted background in electrical, instrument, and reliability engineering, as well as, construction, commissioning/start-ups, predictive/preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis, and process control engineering. He has 29 years of field experience in the petrochemical, bio-fuels, and extrusion/web handling industries. Mr. Butz received his BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Hamilton Technical College, is a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional, and is ANSI registered and Six Sigma certified.
Director of Material Reclamation
Mr. Ploudre is Automation Service’s Subject Matter Expert when it comes to material acquisition and negotiation. With almost 20 years of experience with Automation Service, Mr. Ploudre has played a critical role in the growth of the company through the development of our reclamation and recycling programs. He is well respected in the equipment broker environment all over North America. Mr. Ploudre’s high degree of integrity and professionalism has earned him strong relationships with some of the largest surplus vendors in the U.S.
Director of Human Resources
Ms. Akers joined Automation Service in 2000 as HR Generalist and quickly moved into the HR Manager role where she has been responsible for managing and growing the Human Resources programs, services, and policies. She leads the process development and metrics for all HR functions and ensures they support our company goals and directives. Ms. Akers is passionate about helping Automation Service make the most of their resources and talent and helping individuals make the most of their career here. Ms. Akers brings a well-rounded background in staffing and other HR functions to our organization, as well as, 13 years of additional experience in the manufacturing environment. Ms. Akers is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and since 2003, has been a Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
